Unified Rivalry Series: LSU vs Tulane Unified Basketball

The Unified Sports Rivalry Basketball game is a Special Olympics Unified Sports game where each team represents one college rival team (LSU vs. Tulane). The teams are comprised of students from the perspective universities and local Special Olympics athletes. Come out and support our Athletes and Unified Partners in this exciting collegiate rivalry.

Camp Shriver Baton Rouge

Camp Shriver Baton Rouge will take place Monday June 5th through Friday June 9th from 8am-2pm. This camp will feature athletes and partners from the Capital Area and Florida Parishes Area. Learn more about Camp Shriver.

CA Area Trivia Night

This is a fundraiser for the Capitol Area and will be held at Ashley Manor Reception Hall in Baton Rouge, LA.

Throughout the night you will be inspired as you hear from Special Olympics Louisiana athletes and parents why they believe in the power of our movement. You will be asked to give in a way you believe can offer a higher quality of life for children and adults with intellectual disabilities in the Capitol Area.

Statewide Law Enforcement Torch Run Week

Louisiana law enforcement officers coordinate several runs/relays across the state to bring The "Flame of Hope" to the State Summer Games Opening Ceremonies. Learn more about the Law Enforcement Torch Run for Special Olympics Louisiana.

Capital Area Trivia Night

Powerlifting Clinic

This is a powerlifting clinic for coaches and athletes to learn the sport of powerlifting. Professionals from Louisiana Tech will host the training for the coaches and athletes. Please contact Brock Banos at bbanos@laso.org if you have any athletes that would be interested in attending.

Polar Plunge- Gonzales

The Polar Plunge® is one of Special Olympics Louisiana’s largest fundraisers, attracting hundreds of people to an otherwise deserted waterhole in the winter. Crowd favorites at this event include the Costume contest, musical entertainment, gigantic Ice sculpture, as well as vendor displays and giveaways.
