Hosted by the Greater New Orleans Foundation, GiveNOLA Day is the community’s one-day, online giving event to inspire people to give generously to the nonprofit organizations that make our region a stronger and more thriving community for all. This torch relay officially kicks off the Opening Ceremonies for Special Olympics Louisiana State Summer Games, which are held in May each year.

This is a fundraising event where law enforcement from all over the state competes in a softball tournament in order to raise funds and awareness for Special Olympics Louisiana athletes.

Minutes that Matter
Minutes that Matter focuses on stretching what a short amount of time in support of Special Olympics can achieve. By giving as little as 60 seconds you can make a huge difference in the lives of people with intellectual disabilities. It only takes a minute to change the world.
Do you have what it takes to pull a 155,000 lb. plane? Teams of 20 will compete in this “Strong Man Competition” by pulling a 155,000lb Plane a distance of 12 feet in the fastest time possible.
The Rotary Club of Lafayette South hosts an annual Golf Tournament to benefit Special Olympics Louisiana athletes.
Law Enforcement gives a whole new meaning to "protect and serve" at Tip-A-Cop fundraisers. Officers serve as celebrity waiters at restaurants, and they donate all the tips they receive to Special Olympics Louisiana.
Teams of 10 will compete in this “Strong Man Competition” by pulling a 42 ton fire truck a distance of 12 feet in the fastest time possible.
