Red River Torch Run Routes

Tuesday, May 16th, 2017

Red River, Natchitoches

Check-in time: 12:30 PM

Run starts at: 1:00 PM

Run distance: 19 miles

Run Route:

  • Start: Runners will meet the North West Area at the Red River Parish Line on Hwy-1
  • S/B on Hwy -1 into Natchitoches for 16 miles to City Limits at Hwy 1 South and Texas Street
  • Once the Torch is in the city limits all runners join together to run as a group
  • Left on Texas St. for approx. 2 miles
  • Right on Third Street for approx. 1 mile
  • Left onto Church Street
  • Right onto Front Street
  • Left at 1st Stop sign onto Rue Beauport St. (downtown Riverbank)
  • End: Fleur de Lis stage Natchitoches downtown Riverbank
  • Post-Run Activity: Natchitoches Parish Sheriff's Office will host a cookout for the runners and volunteers at the Fleur de Lis stage area on Natchitoches' downtown Riverbank.

Run starts at: 7:00 AM

Run distance: 58 miles

Run Route:

  • Leg 1 – Start running from downtown Riverbank Natchitoches onto Highway 1 (55 miles). 
  • Start: Downtown Natchitoches Riverbank
  • Run to Natchitoches City Limits on Hwy 1
  • Natchitoches runners then continue on Highway 1 South (55 miles) into Rapides parish ending at Troop E in Alexandria at approx. 2:30 pm
  • Media Run for the Red River Area from the Park at the Cane River to Hwy-1- South.
  • North West area will begin running from Natchitoches city limits Why-1 South.

  • Media Run for the Red River Area from the Park at the Cane River to Hwy-1- South.
  • North West Area will begin running from Natchitoches city limits Hwy-1 South.
