Red River Torch Run Routes

2018 date TBD​

Red River, Natchitoches

Check-in time: 12:30 PM

Run starts at: 1:00 PM

Run distance: 19 miles

Run Route:

  • Start: Runners will meet the North West Area at the Red River Parish Line on Hwy-1
  • S/B on Hwy -1 into Natchitoches for 16 miles to City Limits at Hwy 1 South and Texas Street
  • Once the Torch is in the city limits all runners join together to run as a group
  • Right on Third St. for approx. 2 miles
  • Right on Third Street for approx. 1/2 mile
  • Left on Fifth Street for approx 2 miles
  • Right  onto Bossier Street
  • Left onto Caspari Street
  • Cross over University Parkway onto NSU campus,
  • End: NSU Pavilion across from Prather Coliseum
  • Post-Run Activity: Natchitoches Parish Sheriff's Office will host a cookout for the runners and volunteers at the Pavilion area on Northwestern State University campus.

Run distance: 58 miles

Run Route:

  • Leg 1 – Natchitoches to Alexandria
  • Start:  NSU Pavilion across from Prather Coliseum
  • Red River Area from the Northwestern State University to Hwy-1- South
  • Natchitoches runners then continue on Highway 1 South (55 miles) into Rapides parish ending at Troop E in Alexandria at approx. 2:30 pm
